Jazz Eats - 9th October

Join us for Jazz Eats on Friday evening (9th October) - a three-course Jazz-inspired meal accompanied by live music.

Arrive any time between 6:30pm and 7:30pm.  Wine and other drinks will be available with last orders at 9pm.

Menu

King Prawn Gumbo
(soup from Louisiana: Cajun spiced king prawns and vegetables with rice that is cooked separately).
Served with cornbread.

Grilled Chicken Diane
(grilled boneless, skinless breast of chicken finished in a sauce Diane)
Served with sautéed mushrooms, roasted pumpkin and potato gratin.

Poached Pear
(white chocolate, anise gelée, vanilla ice cream, crumble)

Vegan alternative menu

Vegan Cauliflower Gumbo
(with vegetables, rice and herbs)
Served with cornbread.

Grilled Polenta, Romesco sauce, smashed Chickpeas
Served with sautéed mushrooms, roasted pumpkin and potato gratin.

The Musicians

Popular local singer Cath Coombs and pianist Ben Pringle have kindly offered to entertain us this evening with their take on old Jazz standards.  A cash collection for the musicians will be taken if you wish to contribute (£5/person suggested).  If you don’t carry cash you can also leave a gratuity online here.
